Messi talks up Argentina return

Barcelona superstar Leo Messi has revealed that he would love to play in Argentina after his career at Camp Nou comes to an end.

The four-time Ballon d’Or winner has signed for the Catalans at the age of 11 and went on to become arguably the world’s best footballer.

Despite being constantly linked with a number of Europe’s top clubs, Messi has remained loyal to Barcelona, but admits he still dreams of playing in Argentina.

“I do not know when, but one day I will play in Argentina,” Messi told El Periodico de Catalunya.

“I do not want to put a deadline on it, but it is one of my dreams to play. You never know what will happen in football.”

Lionel Messi has broken all sorts of records during his time at Camp Nou, and he yesterday became the third player to score in ten consecutive La Liga games after Mariano Martin and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Messi has already scored 29 goals in 20 league matches this season and is on the right track to beat his last year’s tally of 50 strikes in the league.

He has scored a total of 39 goals in 30 competitive fixtures for Barcelona this season.
