Lionel Messi will be fit to face Celta Vigo after Barcelona coach Luis Enrique revealed that the forward had come through training unscathed.
Messi missed Argentina’s friendly fixtures against El Salvador and Ecuador over the international break due to a foot injury.
However, the 27-year-old participated in light training on Thursday and then took part in sessions with the rest of the squad on Friday and Saturday “without any problems”.
“He’s in perfect condition,” Luis Enrique said: “He’s fine, he’s ready to play definitely.”
Turning his attention to the visit to Celta, who he left to join Barca in May last year, Luis Enrique added: “”I have very fond memories of Vigo. I’m excited to return.
“Celta always try to play football the right way. They’re having a great season and I’m happy for them.”
