Spanish giants Barcelona are hot on the trail of Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil, according to El Mundo Deportivo.
The Catalans have plans to recruit a high-quality attacking midfielder in January, but their primary target Philippe Coutinho is no closer to moving to Camp Nou.
As a result, Barcelona officials are exploring other possibilities and they are reportedly showing interested in Arsenal star Mesut Ozil.
The Germany hotshot will probably be sold in January as his contract is due to expire at the end of the season, and Barcelona could make their move.
It has to be noted though that Manchester United, Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid are also keen on his services.
