Mexes delighted with win

Roma defender Philippe Mexes was delighted with their victory at AC Milan on Sunday.

The Giallorossi secured a place in next year’s Europa League with their 3-2 win at the San Siro.

“It was very pleasing to win in Milan and guarantee sixth place,” Mexes declared to the Roma Channel.

“Everyone played very well. Our thanks must go to the fans who have stuck by us even though we haven’t had a great season.

“It is a pity that we haven’t been able to show our ability more often because we played such a good game against a wonderful team.

“Hopefully we will have luck on our side next season because we can’t afford to have so many negative incidents.”
