Manchester UnitedÂ’s Michael Carrick has extended his contract with the club.
The twenty six year old midfielder signed a hew contract that will see him remain at the club until 2012.
This come a couple of days after central defender Rio Ferdinand signed a five year extension to his contract.
In an interview afterwards he said that he was fortunate to be associated with such a fantastic squad and winning back – to – back titles with the club is something quite special.
In exactly a century of matches for the club he has scored eight goals.
