Middlesbrough close in on Everton duo

The Daily Star understands that Middlesbrough are closing in on the double-loan-signing of Yannick Bolasie and Muhamed Besic from Everton.

The North East side have started the new season well having taken ten points from twelve available – form that sees them top the Championship.

Now manager Tony Pulis is keen to add depth to his squad ahead of the loan-transfer deadline as he looks to maintain a challenge for the rest of the campaign.

After missing the first four months of the season through injury, Bolasie made seventeen appearances last term with his one and only goal coming in a 3-1 defeat to champions Manchester City in March.

Besic spent last year on loan at the Riverside Stadium, also playing seventeen times with his only goal coming in a 2-1 win over Derby County in April.

Boro can currently be backed at a price of 15/8 to win promotion to the Premier League.
