Sunday Mirror reveals that Middlesbrough are reportedly in pole position to sign the much sought after Michael Bradley. Bradley has garnered interest in many teams in England such as Everton and Blackburn, however it is believed that Gareth Southgate will be the man who brings the American to England.
Bradley, 20, currently plays for Dutch side Heerenveen after moving from MLS side MetroStars. He became the youngest player to be sold in the MLS in 2006, when Heerenveen bought the defensive midfielder for an undisclosed amount.
Sunday Mirror also reveals that Everton were rumoured to lead the chase for Bradley, however reports suggest that David Moyes may be stalling over a bid, as he feels Heerenveen have overpriced the American.
Southgate now hopes to agree terms with the Dutch club, and speak to the player whilst he is England preparing for the upcoming fixture between the USA and England.
