Mignolet future at Liverpool uncertain

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has cast further doubt over the future of goalkeeper Simon Mignolet, according to the Guardian.

The Belgium international has not played for the Reds in the league since New Years’ Day with Loris Karius getting the nod, and has now been dealt a further blow with Klopp suggesting that he won’t be selected for Wednesday evening’s Champion League clash with Porto.

The former Sunderland shot-stoppers only game time since January 1st came in the FA Cup fourth round defeat to West Bromwich Albion, a result which means that the Champions League is their only realistic chance of winning any silverware this season.

That appearance at the Hawthorns was his two hundredth for the Merseyside club in all competitions while he was named their Player of the Season in 2015, an honour bestowed on him by former Liverpool players while he has been capped nineteen times for his country.
