AC Milan have announced the signing of midfielder Stephan El Sharawy from Genoa on their official website.
The Rossoneri have sent Alexander Merkel the other way, with the entire transfer worth around €10 million.
“AC Milan announce they have bought Stephan El Sharawy from Genoa in co-ownership deal and have sold to Genoa, again in a co-ownership agreement, Alexander Merkel,” read the statement on club’s official website.
Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri has revealed that El Sharawy is considered as one for the future.
“El Sharawy is a very good player and he will become a No 1,” Allegri told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“He is young, has quality, and he is the type of player that you must focus on to create a cycle, and make us competitive in Europe too.”
