AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti dismissed speculation that he is set to quit the club and join Chelsea next season by insisting on Friday that he will see out his current contract.

Ancelotti is contracted to Milan until the end of next season but media speculation has linked him with moves to both Real Madrid and the Blues next season.

Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani repeated earlier this week that Ancelotti has a deal until June 2010 with the rossonero but that has not dampened the specualtion.

In Italy, the press has claimed that Cagliari coach Massimiliano Allegri will take over from Ancelotti at the San Siro but the current incumbent says he’s not moving.

“I have no problem in doing this appointment every week,” he said about the pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday’s trip to Chievo.

“Galliani has already spoken and I have nothing to add to that. Allegri? He has the ability to coach any team, he could even coach Chelsea but if we wants the job here he’s going to have to wait.”

In the meantime Milan are trying to secure a top three finish and direct entry into next season’s Champions League group stages.

But on Saturday they travel to a Chievo team that has lost only once in their last 13 matches having spent most of the first half of the season propping up the table.

“We’re thinking about finishing in the top three and then we’ll work on being competitive in the Champions League,” added Ancelotti.

“We have to think only about our own objectives but we have to be careful because the league is full of difficulties.”
