After their shock exit to Werder Bremen in the UEFA Cup tournament, Milan were back to training on Friday in a much scrutinised environment.

The good news for coach Carlo Ancelotti is that star players Kaka and Ronaldinho were able to train, doing several differentiated exercises at Milanello in the gymnasium.

The Brazilian internationals could not take part in the recent loss to the German opponents in midweek at the San Siro due to injury. Despite the fact they have resumed training, neither is expected to be in the squad for Sunday’s match against Sampdoria as they work on regaining full fitness.
