Milan make formal approach for Sebastian Rudy

Serie A high-fliers AC Milan are preparing for a busy transfer window this January as the Rossoneri are looking to bolster ranks in order to improve their position in the Serie A title race.

Twelve rounds into the new season and AC Milan are sitting in third place, five points adrift of league leaders Juventus and only one point behind the second-placed AS Roma.

Vinzenco Montella is doing a wonderful job with a young squad and is reportedly ready to make further investments to add some experience to his talented squad.

According to reports from the Italian media outlet Corierre dello Sport, Rossoneri have made an official approach for the Hoffenheim defensive midfielder Sebastian Rudy.

The 26-year-old versatile midfielder who can operate in defence as well is contracted to Bundesliga club until the end of this season and Milan are making timely steps towards potentially securing Rudy’s signature.

Hoffenheim could choose to sell their man this winter in order to avoid losing Rudy on a free transfer at the end of the season and Milan want to make sure to be in the front row should a chance to snap the 27-year-old present itself.
