Milan set for January spending

Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport has claimed that AC Milan plan to reinforce the squad in the winter transfer window.

Following the impressive victory over Napoli that saw the Rossoneri close the gap behind Champions League positions, club chiefs have promised coach Pippo Inzaghi that he will be allocated considerable transfer funds if the team are still close to the top 3 places at Christmas.

Much will obviously depend on the next league fixture against AS Roma, where Milan are 10/3 to claim maximum points.

Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Marcelo Brozovic appears to be the club’s primary target and while the Croatian side are holding out for €8 million, the Rossoneri believe they can find an agreement for €6 million.

At the same time, Milan officials are in contact with Ajax star Lasse Schone, who is expected to arrive on a free transfer at the end of the season, whilst River Plate midfielder Leonel Vangioni is another player on their radar.
