Milan’s Niang agrees Montpellier loan; Bas Dost on Vitesse radar

hot-transfer-newsMilan’s Niang agrees Montpellier loan

AC Milan striker M’Baye Niang is set to join Montpellier on a six-month loan, the player himself has revealed.

With the youngster struggling for regular playing time at San Siro, the Rossoneri were looking to farm him out on loan, with la Paillade the quickest to act.

According to L’Equipe, Montpellier have agreed a six-month loan with an option to make the transfer permanent for €10 million.

The talented forward has revealed reasons behind his decision to join la Paillade, while also suggesting Marseille and Lyon were keen as well.

“I leave a family club to join another one. I return to France for playing time,” Niang was quoted as saying in L’Equipe.

“I had a choice with great clubs like Marseille and Lyon, who were interested. But, I could not express myself at Milan as I would have liked in recent months.

”Today I am really driven by the desire to revive my career and help Montpellier with my motivation.”

M’Baye Niang remains regarded as one of world’s most talented forwards and no doubts regular game action will do him a world of good.

Bas Dost on Vitesse radar

Eredivisie high-flyers Vitesse are weighing up January move on Wolfsburg striker Bas Dost, reports Voetbal International.

After achieving a fourth-placed finish last season, the club from Arnhem have largely impressed this term, seeing as how they currently sit tied on points with leaders Ajax.

And with Vitesse determined to mount a serious title challenge, they are reportedly hoping to sign Wolfsburg striker Bas Dost in the January window.

In case the Bundesliga side refuse to sell the 24-year-old, FC Hollywood upon Rhine would also settle for a six-month loan.

Bas Dost hasn’t quite managed to live up to the billing at Wolfsburg, having scored just 9 goals in 33 league outings, and he might be interested in a return to Holland.

Having missed two and a half months of action with an ankle problem, the striker has only made five substitute appearances this season, although he did score his first goal of the campaign in weekend’s 2-2 draw against Borussia M’gladbach.

Yannick Djalo set for Benfica exit

Portuguese striker Yannick Djalo looks set to leave Benfica in the winter transfer window, according to A Bola.

The 27-year-old joined the Eagles on a free transfer from rivals Sporting Lisbon in January 2012, but has since made just three league appearances.

He was relegated to the reserves in the summer having returned from a loan spell at Toulouse, and everything suggests he will be offloaded in January.

Even if the forward has a contract until June 2016, chances are that he will be available on a cut-price deal this winter.

Yannick Djalo has played the best football of his career at Sporting Lisbon, but his things started taking a wrong turn when he decided to leave Estadio Jose Alvalade.

The former Portugal international is now hoping to get his career back on track and January exit does seem on the cards.
