Monaco eyeing Seydou Doumbia

Monaco are readying January move on CSKA Moscow striker Seydou Doumbia, according to Russian newspaper Izvestia.

Claudio Ranieri is eager to pair the Ivory Coast international will Radamel Falcao at Stade Louis II, and has instructed club officials to try and sign the forward at the earliest opportunity.

Izvestia has suggested that Monaco are readying a €20 million bid for the player’s services.

Doumbia is reportedly happy at CSKA Moscow, but he has recently revealed that he might not be able to resist a big club move.

The 25-year-old has been scoring goals for fun ever since he moved to Europe, having bagged a total of 92 goals in 133 league appearances playing for Young Boys and CSKA Moscow.

He has been in scintillating form of late, netting four times in last three matches for the Army Men, scoring a brace in the 5-2 defeat to Manchester City in the process.
