Monk keen on Bony stay

Garry Monk is convinced that Wilfried Bony will be a Swansea City player next season, according to Sky Sports.

The Ivory Coast international, who signed from Dutch Eredivise side Vitesse Arnhem last summer, has been in superb form for the Swans this season with twenty-six goals in all competitions.

Everton have been linked with a move for the 25 year old but Monk, who was appointed manager of the South Wales squad on a permanent basis ahead of their 3-1 win at Sunderland on the final day of the season, is adamant that only an “astronomical” fee would see him leave.

Internationally, Bony has won twenty-three caps, and he is set to feature for the Elephants at this summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil.

Sabri Lamouchi’s side begin their campaign against Colombia in Brasilia on June 19th, where they can be backed at a price of 3/1 to take all three points.
