Market: Draw at Montreal Impact vs LA Galaxy

Two sides that are struggling to make an impact at the start of the season, on Monday night LA Galaxy will travel to Montreal.

For former Aston Villa boss Rémi Garde, after his Montreal Impact side could only secure a ninth-place finish in the Eastern Conference last season, The Blue and Blacks have struggled to adjust to the new season. Coming off the back of a 2-0 loss to Philadelphia Union last time out, Impact have now lost six of their last seven in the MLS, failing to score in four of those outings and now find themselves just a single point abover bottom spot. Conceding 22 goals in their last seven appearances, Impact now hold the worst defensive record in both the Eastern and Western Conferences and three of their last six meetings against LA Galaxy have drawn three.

As for Sigi Schmid, although LA Galaxy were busy in the transfer window, the visitors have once again failed to make a significant impact in the Western Conference. Coming off the back of a third consecutive 3-2 defeat, The Whites have now won just one of their last five and are now just two points above slipping into 12th spot. While Galaxy have scored in their last five matches, The Whites will be worried by the form of marquee signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Although the Swedish international scored a brace in his debut for Galaxy, the 36-year-old has now failed to score in his last four.
