Moratti announces Benitez arrival

(GSM) – Internazionale president Massimo Moratti expects Rafael Benitez will pen his contract today.

The former Liverpool boss will sign a four-year contract at the Giuseppe Meazza and will replace Jose Mourinho.

“Probably tomorrow the contract will be official,” Moratti said yesterday.

“But the wages the paper have been talking about is not a real figure. We only need to clear the final details to confirm the deal.

“It was a standard negotiation and also quite fast.”

Moratti was also asked whether he already discussed transfer matters with the new Inter boss.

“No, we didn’t talk about that yet,” said the Nerazzurri patron. “Also there is no problem with Rafa’s staff members.”
