Moratti feels betrayed by Mourinho

(GSM) – Internazionale president Massimo Moratti admits he felt betrayed by José Mourinho when the latter decided to leave Inter to join Real Madrid this summer.

Mourinho announced his move to Real on the night he won the Champions League with Inter.

“It was like a husband cheating on his wife, but seeing as he cares for her and doesn’t have the courage to admit to it, he climbed out the window,” Moratti told 7 Gold television.

“Is Mourinho like (Helenio) Herrera? Football has changed. The Coaches didn’t used to be on the transfer market, but now they are.

“Mourinho and Herrera do have many things in common: they are genial, professional, but above all do hard work.

“‘Il Mago’ worked so much and the same can be said of Mourinho.”
