Tottenham defender Benoit Assou-Ekotto is the latest to praise Scott Parker.
The Cameroon left-back said the way the England midfielder has settled in to the side makes it look like he has been at the club for a decade.
Parker has been a revelation at White Hart Lane since his arrival in the summer, helping the club climb to fifth in the Premier League table after a run of nine matches without defeat.
The former West Ham man has also starred for his country this season, most recently in Saturday’s surprise 1-0 victory over Spain.
It has prompted Assou-Ekotto to praise his team-mate for his ability and attitude on the pitch.
“Scott is doing a great job in central midfield,” the Cameroon left-back told the Spurs website.
“He runs everywhere and gives everything in every game. Everyone knows how important the midfield is in a game, so when he is in great form, so are we.”
“For the first game, maybe he didn’t know everyone, but after that it was like he had been here 10 years.”
“He brings with him a positive attitude and a leader’s attitude.”
“When we watch him, he has a great attitude and we can see that on the pitch. For us, he has been a big positive.”
England manager Fabio Capello is likely to rest Parker from the friendly with Sweden on Tuesday due to a minor Achilles complaint.
