This weekend violence erupted once again in Columbian soccer.
In the northern city of Cucuta the Santa Fe goalkeeper suffered facial wounds when the unruly Bogota Millonarios fans threw stones at the bus in which the victorious Santa Fe players were leaving the Campin Stadium. Jose Ramiro, the reserve goalkeeper suffered cuts to his face when shattered glass from the stones cut his face.
In another such related incident in Cucuta a further three fans were stabbed during a Premier League match at the General Santander Stadium when the hoists Cucuta Deportivo beat Chico 3 0. None of the injuries were reported as serious after the fans had been rushed to the Red Cross Hospital.
These two incidents follow on from the incident on 22 March in which over eighty fans were injured, including six police officers, during a match between Cali and America.
