(GSM) – José Mourinho’s shock move for Internazionale ace Samuel Eto’o was blocked by Florentino Perez.
Mourinho was desperate for a new striker during the last phase of the transfer window and hoped to get his former pupil at Inter to the Bernabéu before the transfer deadline fell.
However, club president Perez, who never had a good relationship with the former Barcelona star, refused to follow up on claims that Eto’o would be interested in returning to Real.
The coming weeks, Mourinho will have to do with just two fit forward players (Karim Benzema and Gonzalo Higuaín) following Cristiano Ronaldo’s injury.
