Inter Milan manager Jose Mourinho said in a remarkable interview Wednesday he feels like the “Robin Hood” of the club, whom he plans to leave and then lead a Spanish club to title glory.

Mourinho, who led Chelsea to the English Premier League title in 2005 and 2006, is confident his side will win this year’s Italian league crown.

And if they do, he said it would allow him to then focus on achieving a rare feat of winning championship titles in the “three most competitive football leagues in the world”.

“Now we are going to win the title,” said the Portuguese, speaking to Italia1 television channel Wednesday. “And then we’ll sit down to consider the future.”

Despite having another year on his contract, he added: “Once my experience with Inter comes to an end I hope to go and coach in Spain because my aim is to win league titles in the top three competitive leagues in the world. All that’s missing is La Liga (Spain).”

Inter currently have a seven-point lead over Juventus in Serie A.

And in what appeared a jibe to the struggling AC Milan team of Carlo Ancelotti, Mourinho added: “Carlo Ancelotti has won the Champions League twice … but in the history of the competition there’s only one team that have lost it after holding a 3-0 first half lead.”

At Istanbul in 2005, Liverpool overturned a 3-0 deficit to Milan to win the final on penalties.

Mourinho also said he felt like the “Robin Hood” of Inter.

“We have Inter Channel (television) with 45,000 subscribers, while Juventus has (newspaper) Tuttosport and AC Milan has three television channels and newspapers,” he added referring to Silvio Berlusconi’s media empire.

“That’s why I feel a bit like Robin Hood at Inter. I like working here because it’s difficult.”
