Moussa Dembele on Napoli radar

Italian daily newspaper Il Mattino reports that Napoli are considering a January move on Tottenham star Moussa Dembele.

It is no secret the Azzurri are looking to add another high-profile central midfielder to their ranks in January, and they have so far been linked with Maxime Gonalons, Blaise Matuidi, Ever Banega and Fernando.

Nevertheless, Il Mattino understands that Tottenham midfielder Moussa Dembele is also on their hit-list.

Rafael Benitez is well aware of the player’s qualities and he believes the Belgian would be an excellent addition to the squad at Stadio San Paolo.

However, persuading Spurs to let their star player leave the club is likely to prove a very difficult task.

Moussa Dembele developed into a key player at White Hart Lane shortly after arriving from Fulham, although his place in the starting line-up is no longer guaranteed following the heavy summer recruitment.

The Belgium international has started 8 Premier League fixtures this term, while making another 3 substitute appearances.
