Thai Premier League club Muang Thong United have reached an agreement for Brazilian-born Bolivian striker Edivaldo Hermoza.
According to reports from the Bangkok Post, Muang Thong’s team manager Ronnarit Suewaja confirmed the 26-year-old forward has agreed to sign a contract next week after he passed a medical.
“Several teams were interested in the player, this shows that we want to keep improving to become a big team in Asia and not only in Thailand,” Suewaja said.
Hermoza has previously had stints with Portuguese second division club Naval and said he was looking forward to collecting silverware at the Thai club.
“It is great to join Muang Thong. I hope that I can perform and help the team win trophies this season,” Hermoza said.
Hermoza has made eight international appearances for Bolivia, scoring in their Copa America clash with Argentina last year.
Hermoza will take the place of former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler, who played with the club for a season last year after a two-year stint in Australia with the North Queensland Fury and Perth Glory.
