AC Milan’s Sulley Muntari is eagerly anticipating his comeback after spending the majority of the 2012/13 campaign so far on the sidelines.

The 28-year-old midfielder missed the opening months of the season due to a knee problem, and picked up calf and thigh injuries after resuming match action in December.

But the Ghana international is now raring to go again, and is determined to help Milan climb the table.

“I cannot wait to come back. I have been out of action for a long time, just watching my team-mates and now it is time for me to join the first team again, to help out and do well,” he told the Milan Channel.

“I came back quickly from the knee injury but then had problems with my calf and thigh.

“I was a little angry with myself but I know my time will come and when it does hopefully I will keep my place and I really hope to help the team.”

Muntari has made just two Serie A appearances this season.
