(GSM) – Aliaksandr Hleb has ruled out an extended stay at VfB Stuttgart. The Belarus midfielder joined Die Schwaben on a loan deal from Barcelona last summer but is unhappy at Stuttgart.
Hleb expressed his disappointment after being substituted for the ninth successive Bundesliga game by manager Christian Gross in the win over Eintracht Frankfurt.
The former Arsenal man expects to return to Barcelona at the end of his loan spell as he does not get on with Gross.
“My contract says I can only play 60 minutes a game,” Hleb said, sarcastically. “But the team plays much better without me and so Gross did the right thing.
“I do not know what he expects from me, but I have a problem with him. We talked, but nothing was achieved. My chances of staying here? Zero per cent.”
Gross has played down any problem with Hleb insisting he is only focused on winning games for Stuttgart.
“I am the manager and we want to win those matches,” said Gross. “I want to win those matches with Alex.”
