NAC Breda are the new leaders in the Dutch Eredivisie following a 2-1 win over title defenders PSV Eindhoven.

Belgian defender Timmy Simons helped NAC to a 1-0 lead with an own goal in the 13th minute, and Amoah doubled the advantage with three minutes left in regular time.

Ibrahim Affelay got one back for PSV in the 93rd minute but it was too little, too late.

Ajax did themselves a great favour beating FC Groningen 1-0 in the Amsterdam Arena. New Spanish signing Oleguer scored the only goal of the match in the 37th minute.

NAC have 15 points from five games and now have a two-points advantage over Groningen. PSV are third, and Ajax are to be found in seventh place.
