Nani linked with Sporting return

As reported by Record, Valencia winger Nani has been linked with a return to Sporting CP in Portugal. The 31-year-old Portuguese star started off his career with Sporting back in 2003 in their youth setup, eventually leaving in 2007 for a big money move to Manchester United. During the final year of his time at Old Trafford, he moved back to Sporting on loan, before a switch to Fenerbahce which eventually led to him landing at Valencia.

He spent time with Lazio on loan last year where he put in a string of impressive performances with the Italian side, but now, it seems as if another return to his roots could be on the cards. Nani would be filling the gap left by Gelson Martins who is being heavily linked with a switch to Atletico Madrid, and given the circumstances, it seems as if this move could end up happening sooner rather than later.
