Napoli general director Pierpaolo Marino has admitted the club are interested in signing Udinese striker Fabio Quagliarella this summer.
Reports in recent days have linked the Azzurri ace with a summer move to Napoli.
“Obviously we do like him, but just like we also like four or five other Udinese players, like [Gaetano] D’Agostino, [Cristian] Zapata or [Antonio] Di Natale,” explained Marino to Ilfriuli.it.
“It’s obvious that such players would be useful at Napoli.”
Marino also commented on their and Udinese’s problems during this season.
“Sincerely, I don’t know how much the European cups affected [the teams],” he continued. “The main fact, in my opinion, was the average age.
“Both Napoli and Udinese were the youngest teams in the league and in certain points of the season, like the crisis ones, maybe they lacked experience.”
