Napoli are the latest club to have joined the chase for Sevilla full-back Alberto Moreno, Il Corriere dello Sport understands.
In spite of their efforts to sign three high-profile players in January, the Azzurri have only recruited talented midfielder Jorginho from Hellas Verona, but they are working on quite a few deals at the moment.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Sevilla defender Alberto Moreno has become one of their primary targets.
The same source has suggested that Napoli have submitted an official offer for the player’s services worth €12 million, and are currently awaiting a response from the La Liga side.
Los Rojiblancos are not too keen on selling one of their most prized assets, but they have no choice but to seriously consider any big-money offer due to severe financial problems.
Napoli will give their best to try and revive their title bid in Serie A, but their Champions League qualification could also be in doubt, although the Azzurri are 2/9 favourites to achieve a top 3 finish.
