Italian giants Napoli are hot on the trail of FC Porto star Hector Herrera, A Bola has suggested.
It is no secret that the Azzurri have been keeping close tabs on the Mexican midfielder and they have now decided to step up their interest.
According to A Bola, Napoli have submitted a €20 million proposal for the 26-year-old footballer, but that does not seem sufficient for the Dragons to allow their prized asset to leave.
The same source claims that FC Porto are holding out for €25 million, due to the fact that the player has another three years left on his contract and a €40 million release clause.
Hector Herrera has been in excellent form since joining the Dragons from Pachuca, scoring 15 goals in 79 league appearances for the Estadio do Dragao outfit and he is currently with the Mexico national team, getting ready for the 2016 Copa America Centenario.
