Napoli are in talks to sign Gonzalo Higuain and Leandro Damiao while Raul Albiol is currently undergoing a medical with the Serie A club.
With prolific frontman Edinson Cavani confirming a reported €64million move to Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday, Napoli are currently in the market for striking reinforcements.
And, when asked whether enquiries had been made for Higuain and Damiao during a Twitter question and answer session, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis simply replied: “It’s true”
He later added: “There are several names on the table, we are evaluating.”
As for Spanish defender Albiol, who struggled for regular playing time at Real Madrid under Jose Mourinho last term, the Italian businessman said: “Raul Albiol is doing a medical.”
Real striker Higuain has reportedly been the subject of long-term interest from Arsenal, but a proposed move to the Emirates Stadium has seemingly stalled in recent weeks.
The 25-year-old confirmed his desire to depart the Santiago Bernabeu after six years at the end of the 2012-13 season.
Internacional star Damiao, meanwhile, has also been linked with a move to London of late, with Tottenham believed to have been tracking his progress for some time.
