Serie A giants Napoli are keeping close tabs on Hamburg midfielder Kerem Demirbay, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Azzurri aim to sign another central midfielder as they expect to offload Gokhan Inler and the German footballer is one of the first names on their wish list.
Kerem Demirbay is currently on the books of Hamburg, having joined on a free transfer from Borussia Dortmund, and he is already regarded as one of country’s hottest prospects.
The 21-year-old has been getting some much needed regular playing time while on loan at Kaiserslautern, where he featured in 12 league outings this season.
His suitors Napoli finally returned to Serie A top 3 as they defeated rivals Lazio on the road and the Azzurri hope to cement the third place in the standings when they host Genoa on Monday.
Having won three of last four league matches, Napoli can be backed at 2/5 to claim maximum points.
