Napoli keen on Jeremy Toljan

Il Corriere dello Sport understands that Serie A high flyers Napoli are showing interest in Hoffenheim defender Jeremy Toljan.

The Azzurri will stay without Kalidou Koulibaly and Faouzi Ghoulam in January due to the Africa Cup of Nations, and they will probably be forced to add at least one defender to their ranks in the winter transfer window.

While they will have enough options in the heart of defence as Lorenzo Tonelli and Vlad Chiriches are closing in on their returns, the left-back position could prove to be a problem.

That is why Napoli could step up their interest in Hoffenheim starlet Jeremy Toljan, who has shown a great deal of potential since coming through the youth ranks.

While the 22-year-old usually operates at left-back, he can also cover any other position in the back four, which makes him even more appealing to the Stadio San Paolo outfit.
