Napoli midfielder set for La Liga return

Estadio Deportivo is reporting that Real Betis are set to complete the signing of Spanish midfielder David Lopez from Napoli.

The La Liga side have already reached an agreement with the player, while they are expected to match Napoli’s €5 million asking price in the coming days.

Real Betis have been quite busy during the summer transfer window, adding the likes of Aissa Mandi, Jonas Martin, Riza Durmisi, Felipe Gutierrez and Roman Zozulya to their ranks.

Their soon-to-be new member David Lopez joined Napoli from Espanyol two years ago, and he made 29 league starts under Rafael Benitez.

However, the 26-year-old lost his place in the side with the arrival of Maurizio Sarri and is now on the verge of returning to Spanish La Liga.

Lopez started mere 6 Serie A fixtures last term, making another 19 substitute appearances and scoring one goal in the process.
