Sevilla midfielder Samir Nasri is being investigated over a potential anti-doping violation as his bizarre Twitter storm took another twist.

The Frenchman said his account had been hacked after a series of strange tweets, many about his sexual activity.

Nasri had gone to see Drip Doctors, an IV vitamin therapy and lifestyle medical spa based in Los Angeles.

They said Nasri was provided “a concierge immunity IV drip to keep him hydrated and in top health” during his season in LaLiga, which is on a mid-season break.

That could cause further problems for the 29-year-old, who is being investigated by AEPSAD – the Spanish agency for the protection of health in sport.

AEPSAD told EFE “intravenous infusions and/or injections of more than 50 mL per six hour period are prohibited except for those legitimately received in the course of hospital admissions, surgical procedures or clinical investigations”.

WADA states IV infusions have been included in its list of prohibited substances and methods since 2005.

Nasri is on a season-long loan at Sevilla from Manchester City and has scored three goals from 13 games in all competitions for the Spanish club.
