Nijmegen side NEC travelled to Den Haag to face relegation candidates ADO and were surprisingly beaten 3-0. Head coach Mario Been has made it clear that he’s far from happy with his side’s performance and has handed his players a fine.

“This is really outrageous. Everybody performed abysmal today. I can’t accept this and everybody will be handed a fine. It’s not like we need the money at NEC, but I have to do something,” said Been to Eredivisie Live.

“We can still qualify for the end of the season play-offs. However, it never looked like the lads are still interested in that. This is very much likely the worst match NEC played under my regime.”
