Negredo completes Middlesbrough switch

Sky Sports understands that Middlesbrough have completed the signing of Alvaro Negredo on a season-long loan from Valencia.

The forward has become the North East side’s eight new signing of the summer and will immediately join up with his new teammates for their preseason trip of Marbella.

Negredo moved to Valencia from Manchester City initially on loan in the summer of 2014, before making the switch permanent twelve months later.

In total he has racked up seventy-six appearances in all competitions for the La Liga outfit, scoring eighteen goals while he netted an impressive twenty-three goals in his one and only campaign in England.

Before signing for City, the thirty year old spent four season’s with Sevilla, during which time he was part of the Spain squad that won Euro 2012.

In total, he has been capped twenty-one times for his country, scoring ten goals.
