Nelson Valdez leaves Valencia

Valencia have announced on their official website that striker Nelson Valdez is leaving the club to join Al Jazira.

Marca understands that the Paragyan has been paid around €3 million, and he will soon place himself at the disposal of coach Luis Milla.

Nelson Valdez’s European experience started with Werder Bremen, where he spent four years before joining Borussia Dortmund in 2006.

Despite scoring some important goals, the Paraguayan never quite managed to earn a regular starting berth at Signal-Iduna Park, and four years later he left the club to sign for Hercules.

Following what was a pretty successful season on personal level, Valdez agreed to join Rubin Kazan, but he was soon back in La Liga, this time signing a season-long loan with Valencia.

Los Che decided to make the transfer permanent at the end of last campaign, but have, nonetheless, agreed to sell him to Al Jazira.
