Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Nene is confident that Carlo Ancelotti’s side will challenge Europe’s top clubs next term.
PSG finished second in Ligue 1 this campaign, three points behind Montpellier, but despite not claiming the league title with a star-studded squad, Nene said the Parisians can challenge the best teams in the UEFA Champions League when more big-name players arrive.
“This year we made many signings, and Leonardo will not stop there,” Nene told Arena SporTV.
“He wants to bring in more players.
“I think the team will be strong enough. We will be able to fight on equal terms with Barcelona, Real and Bayern.”
Nene went on to state that he wants to continue his good form after finishing as joint top-scorer in the league with 21 goals, and hopes for the team to go one better in Ligue 1 next term.
“I hope to play at the same level I have this season,” he said.
“We want to go far in the Champions League, and hopefully win the title in France.”
Although not yet confirmed, PSG will likely be seeded in Pot 3 of Europe’s premier club competition.
