Monaco midfielder Nene may miss the clash of titans suffering a thigh injury while Chu-Young Park should be fit despite a hamstring injury ruling him out of South Korea’s friendly internationals with Denmark and Serbia.
Brazilian winger Nene – who already scored nine Ligue 1 goals this season – hurt himself kicking a ball in training last Friday. The free-kick maestro was suspended for last Saturday’s goalless draw with bottom club Grenoble at the Stade Louis II.
Monaco coach Guy Lacombe confirmed the Brazilian could be out for a long time and would miss the Auxerre clash on November 21.
The news is better on Park, withdrawn at half-time against the lowly Alpine club complaining of a hamstring problem. After treatment the South Korean forward should be available for the trip to Burgundy to take on third-placed Auxerre, who carry a run of six straight Ligue 1 victories into the game.
