Newcastle failed in Hart approach

Newcastle United failed in an approach for England goalkeeper Joe Hart last month, according to the Mirror.

The thirty year old is currently on loan at West Ham United from Manchester City though his only game time since November has come in FA Cup with Adrian starting the last thirteen league games.

Rafael Benitez was looking at Hart but turned his attention elsewhere as Hammers’ boss David Moyes believed that he still had a part to play this season.

Prior to his switch to the London Stadium, Hart spent a year in Italy, making thirty-seven appearances for Torino after being told he could find a new project by Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.

He has played just shy of three hundred and fifty times for his parent club, and helped them win two Premier League titles, two League Cups and the FA Cup since signing from Shrewsbury Town in 2006.
