Newcastle keen on Florian Thauvin

Premier League outfit Newcastle United are readying bid for Marseille starlet Florian Thauvin, Newcastle Chronicle has learned.

The Magpies have been quite busy in the summer transfer window, adding the likes of Georginio Wijnaldum and Aleksandar Mitrovic to their ranks, with Chancel Mbemba set to follow.

And the summer recruitment looks set to continue as Newcastle are hot on the trail of Marseille’s Florian Thauvin.

The Magpies are in talks over the signing of the talented footballer, who is hoping to leave OM for greener pastures this summer.

Marseille had initially planned to cash in on Thauvin, but they are now desperate to keep hold of him having seen a number of key men leave Stade Velodrome.

Florian Thauvin, 22, has done pretty well since joining the French giants from Lille two years ago, having scored 13 goals and produced 7 assists for his teammates in 67 Ligue 1 appearances.
