Newcastle United and Manchester United 14/5 to draw in tonight’s Premier League meeting

Competition: Premier League
Market: Newcastle and Man Utd to draw
Odds: 14/5 @ 888 Sport>

Newcastle United welcome Manchester United to St James Park tonight, and are hoping they can take advantage of their opponents’ poor form away from home to pick up a positive result to boost their hopes of Premier League survival.

Currently languishing in the relegation zone, the Magpies could finish the evening outside of the bottom-three with victory over Manchester United, but haven’t been too full of wins this season even on home soil. Their form in their own backyard has improved in recent weeks, having won two and drawn two of their previous six, but they may settle for less against Manchester United.

While inconsistent on the road, the Red Devils can still be a threat. They aren’t too full of goals in the Premier League, but have proven to be a stubborn side to break down. Their defensive record is among the best in the division, and Newcastle’s problems in the final third mean tonight’s game will be a close affair with few clear cut opportunities.

With the two sides having been more defensively resilient in recent weeks, 888 Sport are giving odds of 14/5 for Newcastle and Manchester United to play out a stalemate at St James’ tonight. A result neither side needs or wants, but will likely settle for to risk defeat.
