Ligue 1 leaders Nice are hot on the trail of Napoli midfielder Omar El Kaddouri, France Football has suggested.
Les Aiglons are in the market for an attacking midfielder and they have recently been linked with a move for FC Porto star Yacine Brahimi.
However, they are also exploring other options as witnessed by their reported interest in Omar El Kaddouri.
The Moroccan could be a much cheaper alternative to the Dragons hotshot considering that his contract is due to expire at the end of the season.
El Kaddouri shares an agent with Nice star Mario Balotelli and that could help les Aiglons secure his signature in the January transfer window.
Not so long ago, the 26-year-old was regarded one of the most talented midfielders in Italy’s top flight, but he was never given a genuine chance to impress at Stadio San Paolo and will soon be leaving the Azzurri for greener pastures.
