La Liga side Villarreal have confirmed that they have finalised an agreement with Besiktas that will see striker Nihat Kahveci return to club where he started his career.
The 29-year-old, a Turkey international, made 80 competitive appearances during an injury-hit three years at Villarreal, who he joined after spending five seasons at Real Sociedad.
Villarreal announced on their website: “Villarreal, Besiktas and Nihat Kahveci have reached an agreement for the striker to play in the Turkish team from next season.
“The club want to thank the player for his commitment and dedication and wish him luck in this new stage of his footballing career.”
