Nilmar’s agent reveals Roma talks

The agent of Villarreal striker Nilmar has revealed that he is in talks with Roma regarding a January transfer.

The 27-year-old is heavily linked with a January exit, with Brazilian side Internacional mentioned as a possible destination.

However, the player’s agent reveals that Internacional have not made an official offer, but some other clubs have.

“Some offers have arrived, but not from Internacional,” Orlando da Hora told O Globo. “I will let Internacional know when there is interest from other clubs.

“Sao Paulo have contacted my attorney, but not me. I will continue negotiating with Roma.”

Da Hora has then moved to reject a possibility of Nilmar’s return to Brazil.

“Villarreal did not accept a millionaire’s offer from Roma. How can a Brazilian club sign him? Only if there is another player involved.

“Honestly, I think there is a one per cent chance of him returning to Brazil.”
