Brazilian side Internacional have insisted they are yet to receive any solid offers for in-demand striker Leandro Damiao.
Southampton are the latest Premier League side believed to be lining up a bid for the 23-year-old, following previous links to Tottenham.
However, their director of football Luis Cesar Souto de Moura insisted that while there has been in interest, he is keen to retain the Brazil international after no firm bids.
“Nothing has come, clubs from everywhere sound him out all the time, but we don’t even consider that anymore, as there are too many enquiries but offers never come,” he told ‘Esporte Interativo.
“I am working with the idea of keeping the player, so that he doesn’t leave.”
Southampton have already proved they are willing to splash the cash following their capture of Croatia international Dejan Lovren from Lyon for £8.5 million earlier this month.
He remains their first signing of the current transfer window after talks with Celtic’s Victor Wanyama, Cagliari midfielder Radja Nainggolan and Roma striker Pablo Osvaldo appeared to have stalled.
