Klass-Jan Huntelaar said last week that Manchester United were ‘very interested’ in him. At that point, many fans expected the rumours to pick up, but it has been quiet on that front since. Now, Huntelaar’s agent revealed that neither Ajax nor he received any contact from Manchester United, according to Sky Sports.

“For him, United is a club that is interesting, but unless a suitable club come in for him, he will be at Ajax next season,” said Huntelaar’s agent according to the report.

“We won’t speak to Ajax any more about a new contract because they wanted to put a new clause in it, but he has two years to go.

“There has been no contact between Ajax and United, or United and myself.”

Manchester United have announced plans to make a solitary signing this summer and many expected Huntelaar to be the player brought in. If they are to sign him, Manchester United might have to move fast as there seems to be no shortage of interest in the prolific goalscorer.

Why is Sir Alex again playing a waiting game and eventually lost.Stop the shit about Ronaldo and concentrate on adding stronger players and get rid of underperform players like John Oshea for goodness sake.

Got something to say?
